Staying connected is essential for keeping up with Troop 2860 activities, schedules, and important announcements. Here are the primary ways we stay in touch:
Our Scoutmasters send out a weekly email for each troop containing comprehensive details about upcoming meetings, deadlines, and troop news.
Please share these details with your Scouts, or sign them up for the emails.

Besides the weekly update email, you will see emails from Troop Leadership periodically with specifics about the following:
Campout & Events Sign-Ups
Fundraising Opportunities
Service Hours Opportunities
Merit Badge Opportunities
Scheduling or Process Changes

Our main platform for day-to-day messaging and real-time updates is the Band App.
Who Uses It: All Scouts and adult leaders.
Note: Only registered Scouts & Leaders can sign up, parents cannot, due to Safeguarding Youth policies. However, you can supervise your youth's Band activity with these instructions.
To ensure a safe environment in accordance with Scouting America's Safeguarding Youth policies, Troop 2860 enforces Two-Deep Leadership in all communications:
No One-on-One Contact: Adult leaders will never engage in direct, one-on-one electronic communication (emails, texts, or messages) with youth members.
Requirements: Any communication sent from an adult to a Scout—or from a Scout to an adult leader—must include a second adult, such as a parent, guardian, or another registered adult leader.
