Get Approval: The Scout (not parent) asks the Scoutmaster for approval to start a Merit Badge.
Connect with a Counselor: The Scoutmaster or Advancement Chair assigns a Counselor in Scoutbook Plus. The Scout contacts the Counselor.
Complete Requirements: The Counselor tracks progress and marks requirements as Completed in Scoutbook Plus.
Receive Award: At the next Court of Honor, the Scout is recognized for completing the Merit Badge and will receive an envelope with the Blue Card and patch.
Keep & Display: The Scout files the Blue Card in their Scout Achievements Binder and sews the patch onto their sash (sashes hold up to 3 badges per row).
Approved Merit Badge Counselors are the only individuals who can sign off and mark merit badge requirements as completed in Scoutbook Plus.
