Friends of Pocahontas State Park
It takes a lot to deliver the quality of program that we do. A big part of that is the time from our volunteers, but there are costs involved in equipment, trailers, storage, maintenance, and insurance that our dues alone are not designed to cover. For these additional investments in our youth, we must fundraise. We do that a few different ways a few times during the year. If you have helped support us in the past, we thank you sincerely and hope you will consider doing so again. If you have not yet had the opportunity to support our program and you are on this page, we are grateful for your interest and hope we can answer whatever questions you may have. If you need additional information about sponsoring our Troop, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
As a chartered subsidiary of Friends of Pocahontas State Park, a 501(c)(3) entity, all cash donations to Troop 2860 are tax deductible. If you are interested in making a cash donation, please considering using our PayPal.me Profile Page https://paypal.me/bsatroop2860 or contact email@example.com.
Are you organizing an event where you would like to take donations for the Troop? Download and print out our PayPal QR Code to display on a poster or other printed material.
Our main fundraising event each year is our annual Scout Hike-a-thon, held each September. We will be publishing much more information about the Hike-a-thon as it approaches each year, but if you want to learn more about how you can help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Popcorn & Peanuts
Each fall our local BSA Council organizes a popcorn & peanuts sale to raise money for the Troops. Over 70% of the funds collected for the product go to support local Scouting in the area. If you see us in front of a business storefront or we stop by and ring your doorbell, we hope you will consider investing in our youth with a purchase of some delicious snack food!
An enormous thank you goes out to our Eagle-level sponsors for 2021:
