Senior Instructor
Appointed by the Scoutmaster

Pre-Requisites: (pre-requisites must be met by the date of the election)
  • Minimum age of 14 and minimum rank of Star 
  • He must also have the ability to teach that skill to others. 
  • Must be a member in “In Good Standing” (Scouts are considered “In Good Standing” when they are registered with the Troop and have met the minimum participation requirements).
Responsibilities:  
  • At the direction of the Senior Patrol Leader, the Senior Instructor provides programming for skills instruction for both the New Scouts and Older Scouts. 
  • An instructor typically teaches subjects that Scouts are eager to learn; especially those such as first aid, camping, and backpacking, which are required for outdoor activities and rank advancement.
  • The Senior Instructor directs the actions of both the Instructors.
